Below is the Altimeter for General Electric (GE). The red arrow on the far right indicates the current level of the Altimeter.
We wouldn’t consider the idea of buying GE until it does (a minimum of) one of the following:

achieve a new low on exceptionally high volume (similar to the 2009 levels)

declines below the 2009 low
-
gets booted from the DJIA
-
dividend is eliminated
Any of the above are acceptable consideration points. Then we can start running the numbers for speculative positions only. Since none of these have happened yet the best we can do is wait because one or all of these can happen before GE is worth considering.
